From 2005-2007, this podcast was hosted by a "nice Jewish couple" (and their baby girl!) living in the buckle of the Bible Belt. Eric and Raya talked about married life, Sophie Arielle, the Simpsons, Judaism, and anything else which wandered across their brains.

Jews in Alabama, Episode #3 (On the Road, Daytona Beach, Florida)
We do our first podcast away from Birmingham, on vacation in Florida. We discuss state lotteries, Jewish weddings, our vacation, and Eric's conversion to Judaism. (24 minutes, 47 seconds.)
Do you say a lot of blessings? I wonder because of the blessing when you see the ocean "she-assa et hayam hagadol" and you were by the ocean. I am not very good with remembering most blessings -- when I'm alone I remember the food blessings as I'm eating--but I love the ocean, and to get to my g/fs house I drive along the Pacific in LA, so I make sure to say the blessing every month.

Not many, and it's a shame. We've said the "hayam hagadol" (the "great sea") before, and I wish we'd remembered this time.
Watching waves crash onto the shore affects me more than just about any other natural phenomenon.
